It has taken us a wee while to get organised with our blogging this year thanks to Covid-19, but we are finally up and running. Room 6 are pretty excited about it!

Using Google Drawing
Today Room 6 were learning how to use Google Drawing with Vicki. We learned how to use WordArt to make our names look awesome! We changed the colour by clicking on the paint bucket and we changed the font.
We also learned how to find images using the explore tool and we had to resizing the images to make them fit. We used the corner to resize so we didn't squash our pictures.

This is the question that was posed to Room 6 this week. There were a few blank faces and it was really hard coming up with an answer...

Kawa of Care
This week with Vicki we talked about the kawa of care for our chrome books. We talked and learnt about how we can best look after our chrome books and how we can encourage others to also do this. We then created some comic strips demonstrating our learning. And here, we share some of our creations.

Music with Fran
Music with Fran
Every Thursday morning, we head over to the hall and are greeted by a smiling Fran and her entourage of musical instruments. This term we are learning to play 'Shotgun" by George Ezra. It's very noisy - but a whole lot of fun!

Lots of activity this week at Waitohu School
We are lucky enough each week to have some Year 13 students from Otaki College come and take our senior kids for some sport and fun. Last week it was a games focus and this week it was all about ball skills!

The duathlon was a lot of fun on Thursday, with great attitudes and speedy legs on display. All of Room 6's training paid off. Well done team! |
Lots of great learning has been going on in Room 6. We are currently taking part in Chapter Chat as part of our reading and we are reading WONDER, which is a wonderful book encouraging the kids to think about accepting difference and being kind. Great messages all round!
